We created a visual direction for a Kentucky bourbon that pays homage to its roots at The Kentucky Derby. Use of extra wide typography references their uniquely wide set bottle. And clean layouts gleaming with white space set off the flash photography just as you'd see at the derby. While exploring the new look & feel of Woodford Reserve we not only wanted to connect it to its roots but also bring a very modern look with the white space as generally bourbon or whiskey brands are always explored in darker backgrounds. The white space plus the flash photography with high exposure brings the beauty and the focus to the bourbon drink. It’s what we call a “Spectacle for the Senses”. It’s more than just a drink but an event and experience. Additionally we explored ways to bring awareness about the 200+ flavors notes that the drink has through its social media and the online space.
